100 Black Men of Austin Supports Manor Community with 5k Run

100 Black Men of Austin partnered with Derrick White, Director of Evolution of Health to host a 5k run in Manor, TX. 130 runners came out to run, get health screenings, and support the Manor, TX community.  As part of our Health and Wellness pillar of the 100, our focus is to support communities by educating them on the importance of exercise, better eating habits and health screenings.

 

100 Black Men of Austin Receives Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation/Organization of the Year Award from Association of Fundraising Professionals

Texas Empowerment Academy nominated the 100 Black Men of Austin to receive the Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation/Organization of the Year Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  The organization is honored and proud to have been chosen by the committee.  The grassroots work will continue in the Austin, TX community!!!!

100 Black Men of Austin Supports the Austin Public Library Kids Block Party

The Austin Public Library hosted its 3rd annual Kids Block Party at the central library downtown Austin.  The 100 Black Men supports this initiative by volunteering and providing resources.  This year, the 100 Black Men of Austin donated the books (Courtesy of Black Pearl Books) and Puzzles (Courtesy of Puzzle Huddle) to their literacy department.

100 Black Men of Austin Supports First Tee Golf in its Efforts to Teach Children the Game of Golf

The 100 Black Men of Austin has supported First Tee Golf for the 3 consecutive year in promoting the importance of playing golf, staying active, and creating networking spaces for our youth.  Members of the organization were recognized for their individual accomplishments in the community during the 9 Core Values Luncheon.  Thank You PGA Tour for being a driving force in the Austin, TX community!
