The 100 sponsored the Texas Empowerment girls volleyball team to attend the Texas vs West Virginia volleyball game. TxEA has been working hard and the 100 wanted them to take a trip west of Interstate 35 to watch the nationally ranked Texas Longhorns.
The 100 Black Men of Austin, Inc. is having a fundraiser to distribute 100 bikes and helmets to underrepresented and foster kids in the Austin Community this holiday season. We’ve set a goal amount of $7,000 to accommodate 100, but we’re equipped to go beyond that amount for the community. The campaign starts tonight and will end December 3rd. The 100 has made a donation of $3,000 to show we’re committed to the community.
Please see the link below and make a donation today!
If you can’t contribute financially, you can volunteer your time by helping us build the bikes prior to the event. If interested, email [email protected] for more information.
We will host an event in December to distribute the items to the recipients.

The 100 had the opportunity to send some of our mentors from Texas Empowerment Academy to a UT basketball practice to discuss the importance of leadership and being coachable on and off the court. Ray Jackson (Fab Five) joined us for the discussion.
