100 Board members attended the 51st annual Congressional Black Caucus in Washington, DC to support the Greater DC 100 chapter and attend to conference to promote our Voter Education PSAs. The members had the opportunity to meet politicians and other key figures at the convention.
The members of the 100 supported the young men of Huston Tillotson University by purchasing suits and supporting them at their rites of passage ceremony.
As part of the cultural competency Initiative, the 100 Black Men of Austin donated 26 bundles of books to Manor ISD Librarians. The students will have the ability to check the books out of the library to make reading fun. Mayor Christopher Harvey of Manor, TX presented the donation at the Manor City Council meeting.
For the 4th year in a row, the 100 Black Men of Austin, Inc. supported students at Texas Empowerment Academy back to school.
