The 100 had the opportunity to send some of our mentors from Texas Empowerment Academy to a UT basketball practice to discuss the importance of leadership and being coachable on and off the court. Ray Jackson (Fab Five) joined us for the discussion.
The Austin Public Library received 2,000 new children books donated by Together We Rise and 100 Black Men of Austin, Inc. The books will be distributed to those in need in the Austin community.
The 100 volunteered with Cortez Consulting at their Colony Park Block Party. Various vendors included the Austin Fire Department and Community Care Health Centers.
