Economic Development

The Austin chapter of the 100 considers economic empowerment as a necessary step toward creating a just society. The 100 defines economic empowerment as the ability to be self-determined in creating dreams, pursuing them and ultimately perpetuating them by establishing the mechanisms to sustain generational wealth. Our program initiatives promote generational economic self-sufficiency through financial literacy, family wealth building and entrepreneurship. This pillar will be lead by Aaron Demerson former Executive Director Economic Development State of Texas. Programs to be established will include:

  • Dollars & Sense Youth Investment Programs / Money Smart
  • Starting a small business
  • Family Home Ownership Program / Financial Literacy Program
